1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to human services; authorizing a supplementary services rate for mental
1.3 health facilities in Winona County; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section
1.4 256I.05, by adding a subdivision.
1.5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 256I.05, is amended by adding a subdivision
1.7 to read:
1.8 Subd. 1v.Supplementary services rate; Winona County. Notwithstanding the
1.9 provisions of subdivisions 1a and 1c, beginning July 1, 2025, a county agency shall negotiate
1.10 a supplementary services rate for up to 53 beds in addition to the monthly room and board
1.11 rate specified in subdivision 1, not to exceed $750 per month, including any legislatively
1.12 authorized inflationary adjustments, for a housing support provider located in Winona
1.13 County that operates five facilities that provide room and board and permanent supportive
1.14 housing services for adults living with and experiencing mental health and substance use
1.15 disorders.
