1.1          A bill for an act
1.2          relating to labor; requiring overtime pay on holidays;amending Minnesota Statutes
1.3          2024, section 177.25, by adding a subdivision.
1.4          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5          Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 177.25, is amended by adding a subdivision
1.6          to read:
1.7                          Subd. 1a.Holidays. Work performed by an employee on a holiday as defined in section
1.8          645.44, subdivision 5, must be compensated by the employer at a rate of at least 1-1/2 times
1.9          the regular rate of pay at which the employee is employed.
