Essay
My bill in a positive manner would prevent possible accidents with farm equipment and obstacles in the right hand side of the road. For example, wide pieces of farm equipment going down a roadway with signs, mailboxes and guardrails in the way.
Another good part of the bill is that the wide equipment would have the power to cross the centerline for a short period of time with no oncoming vehicles, and return back into their lane when safe to do so.
With safety of oncoming traffic and farm implements in consideration, farm implements can not travel to the left of centerline at night without a lead vehicle with hazard lights flashing for extended distances.
A negative part of the bill is when there is oncoming traffic. Then the equipment can not cross the center line until oncoming traffic has passed by unless there is a lead vehicle with hazard warning lights on. Once traffic passes by, the equipment is able to cross over the centerline no more than what is necessary.
