I care deeply about healthcare fairness because everyone deserves access to the care they need, especially people facing serious illnesses like cancer. Seeing how treatments like chemotherapy and radiation can damage teeth and gums, I realize how unfair it is for patients to have to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket for dental care that is directly related to their treatment. This extra burden makes an already difficult situation even harder for patients and their families.
