1.2 relating to agriculture; appropriating money to hire a Hmong-speaking farmer

1.4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION.
1.6 $....... in fiscal year 2025 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of
1.7 agriculture to hire a Hmong-speaking farmer outreach and engagement coordinator for the
1.8 Emerging Farmer Office to help connect Hmong farmers to farming opportunities and
1.9 programs throughout the state.
1.10 EFFECTIVE DATE. This section is effective July 1, 2024.
