1.1          A bill for an act
1.2          relating to health; appropriating money for grants for lead risk assessments.
1.3          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.4          Section 1. APPROPRIATION; GRANTS FOR LEAD RISK ASSESSMENTS.
 1.5        (a) $500,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
1.6          of health for grants to the Minneapolis Health Department and the St. Paul-Ramsey County
1.7          Public Health Department to conduct lead risk assessments under Minnesota Statutes, section
1.8          144.9504, for children with elevated blood levels. Of this appropriation:
1.9          (1) $250,000 is for a grant to the Minneapolis Health Department; and
1.10       (2) $250,000 is for a grant to the St. Paul-Ramsey County Public Health Department.
1.11       (b) The commissioner must not use any of this appropriation for administration.
