Minnesota has never had so many climate changes, last school year from 2023 to 2024 there was just a month of snow when snow used to last from November up to April. If this is not a prove that climate change is a issue we need to face as soon as possible I don’t know what it is, and the worst part it’s
Basically climate justice means that the people that are the most responsible of climate change are not the ones who are most affected, the ones that get more affected are the marginalized and more vulnerable population and that’s why climate justice is a really important concept everyone should know.
the way to make a difference is teaching it in schools the meaning of climate justice so that young teenagers can be inform and be able to discard false information about climate change, be aware of its effects and how it affects more a specific part of the population, they could create good habits like turning the lights off when they are not using them, they can inform their families about the issue so it spreads, they can stop supporting business or persons that contribute to climate change, they can fight for climate justice and most important, they could eventually come up with solutions for this issue. The future of the planet depends on teenagers and the best way for them to make good decisions, create a solution and fight for justice is to be informed.
“ice cores drawn from Greenland, Antarctica, and tropical mountain glaciers show that Earth's climate responds to changes in greenhouse gas levels.” these comes from
Studies from NASA and there are a lot of other studies around the world give scientific consensus that climate change is real and it’s an important issue we need to face as soon as possible. The temperature is rising up at a worrying speed, this winter in December and February Minnesota broke the record of highest temperatures and 2023 was the hottest year on record in the US, but that’s not the worst part because
Due to this climate changes 2,325 heat-related deaths were recorded in the US and this deaths are part of the vulnerable population that’s not able to afford air conditioning, there has also been a lot of deaths in the world due to the amount of floods, hurricanes and storms that happened this year due to climate change,
and the people that’s not able to survive this climate changes are the poorest population who at the same time are those who contribute the least to the cause of this problem, that’s why at least 46 nations around the world are teaching about climate justice in schools because they realize is the best way to face it and the US educational institutions recognize “providing young teenagers with knowledge, skills, values and attitudes is needed so they can effectively participate in the transition towards climate positive societies” and a lot of young americans are pushing for climate justice to be taught in school, they want to learn about it so they can make a difference,
, teaching it is an investment on the future of the planet, on the safety of the most vulnerable population and on the improvement of the quality of life of thousands of people.

Getting all schools to follow a program to teach about climate justice might be really hard because it would need to adapt to every schools schedule, it might also be hard to prepare courses for teachers to teach about this topic and to decide who is the more adequate person to teach about that and finally it might affect the students mental health having in mind something as depressive as climate injustice and how it does affect people everyday.
