1.2          relating to education; expanding definition of shared time pupils;amending
1.3          Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 126C.01, subdivision 8.
1.4          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.5          Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 126C.01, subdivision 8, is amended to read:
1.6                          Subd. 8.Shared time pupils. "Shared time pupils" means those pupils who:
1.7          (1) attend public school programs for part of the regular school day; or
1.8          (2) attend public school career and technical education programs offered for secondary
1.9          credit outside of the regular school day;
1.10       and who otherwise fulfill the requirements of section 120A.22 by attendance at a nonpublic
1.11       school.

1.12       EFFECTIVE DATE. This section is effective for the 2025-2026 school year and later.
