Essay
In this bill a “beginning farmer” has little to no agricultural assets. They would be eligible to get expanded tax credits to make farming easier in today's economy. There are stipulations as to who can be granted this expanded eligibility.
You need to be a resident of the state of Minnesota. Cannot use credits if you are going to inherit the land, or buy from an inlaw. You can get it if you have been farming for less than 10 years.
I think that this bill would be a good thing for beginning farmers, there is not many people who farm anymore so they should have programs like this to make it easier. We need to make sure people can feed us.
I think this bill does have some issues. It really doesnt specify what can be used for credits, almost a little confusing. But you will have that in American politics.
